Get the real African bush feeling
A camping safari ist the perfect chance to enjoy nature and wildlife fulltime on your journey. Since camping is very popular in southern Africa there are a lot of campsites in beautiful areas available. Also lodges and private game reserves usually offer camping as well. Same as lodges the campsites are often designed with local architecture and the passion of the owners. This ensures a good combination in between living close to nature including sitting at the fireplace and having a good Namibian braai but also the advantage of facilities like toilets, bathrooms as well as sometimes pools and bars.
Besides the facilities camping still means sleeping outdoors either in ground tents or rooftop tents mounted on your safari car. For sleeping you can choose in between a stretcher or a mattress in a sleeping bag. Of course you do not need to bring your own camping equipment. We will supply everything you need.
Guided or self drive?
Both is possible - it is up to you to decide the mode of travel. Camping on a self drive trip keeps you bound to nature all the time but also leaves all the effort of camping to you. On a group safari there will some more people joining you and camping efforts can be shared in the group. Not sure yet? - try our safari finder to get to know the differences.
